Bonanza of folk song

If you can't go along and enjoy every second of this 90-minute bonanza of folk songs from all over the world, you aren't unappreciative - you are dead.

Rory and Alex McEwen present some of the most talented performers in the way-out folky world. But there's no star. Everyone is brilliant.

Caroline [sic] Hester from America, the Ian Campbell Folk Group, some say the best in Britain, four of the principals from the African musical King Kong, and the McEwens themselves. A. D.

....for the first night, were members of the Rory and Alex. McEwen late night show at the Palladium, "Straight From the Wood". Among those in the picture with Rory and Alex. were Carolyn Hester from America, the Manhattan Brothers from South Africa, and the Ian Campbell group, Scottish folk singers based in Birmingham.
